This trip usually takes about 3-4 weeks depending on the itinerary. We often sail for 48 hours straight then put into a calm anchorage for the night to let the crew rest. Everyone on board is expected to take a watch at night since we sail day and night without stopping for up to 60 hours. Everyone on board is also expected share in the chores on the boat like cooking and cleaning. Prior sailing experience is not required.
Leaving Rocky Point June 1st, 2008 arriving cabo san lucas June 9th. One spot open for this leg. There will be stops in San Carlos, and La Paz with tw or three other cities undecided.
Leaving Cabo san lucas June 11th arriving ensenada June 21st. We stop in Bahia santa maria and bahia tortuga in between.
There is no charge for this trip, only share in expenses, since it requires participation and if weather gets rough the trip can be exhausting. If the weather is good, we usually sleep good at night even when we are under sail.
Participants can join and leave the trip at any port. For example start in rocky point and fly home from Cabo san Lucas or LaPaz. Start in La Paz or Cabo and end in Ensenada or San Diego.
We try to eat very good on these trips so everyone is expected to pitch in everytime we provision the boat.
Neptune's Neptune's Finger in Cabo San Lucas. Cabo San Lucas is a fabulous destination. We usually catch Bonito Tuna or Blue fin tuna and even Dorado. We can anchor out in the bay for free or if available we can stay in a slip. It is expensive, $140 per night for a slip, but we stay right down town. This is a nice treat to spend the night worry free in Cabo where there is fine dining and famous bars like Cabo Wabo. There is also big game sport fishing and great scuba diving shops and sites. We could easily spend a few days in cabo relaxing, partying and having fun with all types of water sports.
